2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information such as name, organization, job title, business email, telephone number, country, enquiry subject, and message.
- Authentication information such as an account identifier, email address, display name, authentication method, login time, application identifier, and security or audit records.
- Technical information needed for security and operation, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested page, timestamps, and essential session identifiers.
- Information you voluntarily provide when requesting support, a demonstration, or a business discussion.
Please do not submit passwords, access tokens, payment-card information, private keys, confidential government information, or unnecessary sensitive personal data through our public forms.
3. Google OAuth 2.0 and Google user data
When an application offers “Sign in with Google”, Google authenticates you and provides only the information covered by the permissions shown on the Google consent screen. Our intended authentication use is limited to the basic openid, email, and profile scopes. This may provide your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image.
We use this information only to establish your identity, create or match the appropriate application session, display basic account information, prevent fraud, and maintain security and audit records. We do not use Google OAuth to access Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendars, or other unrelated Google services unless a future application clearly requests that permission and this Policy is updated before use.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. Why we process information
We process personal information to provide requested services; authenticate users; operate secure application sessions; respond to enquiries; arrange demonstrations; provide support; protect users, applications, and infrastructure; meet contractual and legal obligations; and improve the reliability and usability of our services. Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it subject to processing already lawfully completed.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose only the information reasonably necessary to:
- Authorized Global Computers personnel who need it for their responsibilities.
- Identity, hosting, communication, security, and technical service providers acting under appropriate controls.
- The organization that owns or operates the Business Application you are using, where Global Computers acts as its technology provider or processor.
- Government, regulatory, judicial, or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is legally required.
Google receives information directly when it provides Google authentication, subject to Google’s own policies.
6. Storage, security, and international processing
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including controlled access, encryption in transit, secure credential handling, logging, monitoring, and system maintenance. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Where information is processed outside Oman, we apply the safeguards and assessments required by applicable law and contractual obligations.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose, security, contractual requirements, dispute resolution, and applicable legal or regulatory obligations. Retention periods may differ by application and customer agreement. When information is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymized, or securely restricted.
To request deletion of personal information associated with Google authentication or another Global Computers service, email ContactUs@GlobComOm.com with the subject “Personal data deletion request”, identify the relevant application and account email, and do not include a password or token. We may verify your identity before acting. You may also remove an application’s Google access through your Google Account permissions.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and valid limitations, you may request access to or a copy of your personal information; correction or updating; deletion or restriction; withdrawal of consent; or information about processing and transfers. You may also raise a concern with Global Computers or the competent authority in Oman.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential technologies needed for security, session management, language preference, and correct website operation. We will not enable non-essential analytics or advertising technologies without an appropriate notice and consent mechanism where required.
10. Children
Our public website and enterprise services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through this website. Any service intended for children must use the consent and protection measures required by applicable law.
11. Legal framework and changes
We seek to process personal information consistently with Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law issued under Royal Decree 6/2022 and its Executive Regulations issued under Ministerial Decision 34/2024, together with other applicable contractual and legal requirements.
We may update this Policy when our services or obligations change. The updated version will be published here with a revised effective date. Material changes affecting Google user data or consent will be disclosed appropriately before the changed use begins.
